Andrés Fuentes, PhD

PhD in Ecology and Evolutive Biodiversity. His research focuses in the study of the ecological impacts of wildfires in tempered forests ecosystems of the south of Chile, and how the vegetal community (of native and exotic species) respond to the fire. Also, he’s interested in related subjects with the invasion of exotic plants, its impacts in native ecosystems and ecological restauration of degraded environments. For thtat, he uses different working approaches, including field experiments, observational studies and simulation tools and spacial modelation.
