PhD in Sciences, mention Biology, University of Chile. Currently he’s associated professor at the Faculty of Natural and Oceanographic Sciences, University of Concepción. His interests focuses on the distribution patterns and ecophysiology of native species and introduced throughout natural gradientes, for the purpose of determine the main factors involved in the distribution and abundance of these species, and so understand in a better way the posible consequences of the climate change. For this, it is used a range of aproximations, both observational and experimental in different ecosystems, even though the main focus are the high mountain ecosystems.
